Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find you?

We bake to order and do not have a retail store so if you need something right now please see our wholesale retail partners. After your order is confirmed please find our kitchen at 5324 Fleet Ave. The kitchen door is in the back.

How should I store my baked goods?

Cakes should be kept in the fridge. Cookies, muffins, scones, and bagels if not being eaten quickly are best kept in the freezer to extend their freshness. Humidity is the enemy of gluten-free baked goods so we do NOT recommend keeping items (other than cake) in the fridge. A cool counter top or freezer is best for most baked goods if they are not cakes.

What are your pick-up hours?

We take orders for pick-up from our Cleveland kitchen at 5324 Fleet Avenue (kitchen entrance in parking lot at the back of the building) by pre-order only:

Monday closed

Tuesday closed

Wednesday 10am to 6pm

Thursday 10am to 6pm

Friday 10am to 6pm

Saturday 10am to 3pm

Sunday closed

How soon should I place my order?

The sooner the better! We need a minimum of 1 business day for small orders and 3 business days for cakes. We are often are fully booked on weekends.

Do you deliver?

Delivery service will be suspended temporarily between December 21st and January 15th. We offer local Northeast Ohio delivery for $10 plus $0.60/mile from our catering kitchen in on Fleet Ave. We do not offer shipping beyond the area at this time. There is a minimum $45 order required and a maximum of 20 miles and/or 30 minutes one way from our kitchen. We apologize for the limitations but we are a small company that hand delivers each item.

Do you take custom orders?

Sorry, no. Philomena Bake Shop works hard to make fresh, delicious, gluten-free, and vegan baked goods. We test every product extensively before we sell it and so modifications are difficult. We will happily include a birthday wish or another simple message written in dark chocolate but are unable to offer custom decor.

Do you offer wholesale?

You bet we do! We have a variety of food service options. Please email caitlin@philomenabakeshop.com for details.

Philomena Bake Shop is gluten-free and vegan. Can you accommodate other food allergies and sensitivities?

We absolutely will try to! Mention any other foods you are concerned about when contacting us and we can work with you to find something that works. If you’re visiting one of our retail partners please ask about their handling methods to avoid contamination and also for the Ingredient Statement. The Ohio Department of Health requires that all wholesalers provide a list of ingredient for any product not packaged and labeled so the consumer can be confident they know what is in the product they are eating.

How gluten-free is Philomena Bake Shop?

We are exclusively gluten-free and do not allow any gluten containing products or ingredients into our facility.

How vegan is Philomena Bake Shop?

Totally.

How do I order?

Please review our menu and then use the form on the website. Be sure to include the date you want the order, your phone number, and email address. After we review your order and invoice will be emailed to confirm your order. The email will also include a pick-up time or delivery window confirmation as well as driving directions to confirm your order. These emails are not automatically generated and are hand crafted by a human so please forgive a delay.
